vhosts and htaccess
«

I was wondering if there was anyone experienced with APACHE vhosts and htaccess files.
I'm trying to create dynamic sub-domains and then rewrite them with an htaccess file.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Dynamic subdomains meaning...?
http://www.whatever.com/index.php?s=subdomain
and then making that into
http://www.whatever.com/subdomain/
?

@scope: He's talking about having something like
http://subdomain.website.com
turn into something like
http://website.com?sd=subdomain
or
http://website.com/subdomain.
Guessing by his name he's probably creating a tinyurl clone.
@urlshrink: Take a look at the documentation
here
. You're gonna wanna look into dynamically configured mass virtual hosting and mod_rewrite.
